Intel Virtual RAID via CPU (VROC) - AOC-VROCINTMOD & AOC-VROCSTNMOD & AOC-VROCPREMOD

Supermicro NVMe AOC-VROCxxxMOD is a dongle that allows a motherboard with an Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor to unlock an Intel-based hybrid RAID system. This is the best way to optimize costs to protect NVMe volumes with RAID.

How does it work?

Plug the key into the VROC connector on the motherboard and permanently unlock NVMe RAID protection. The VROC dongle is available in three different variants, depending on the type of drive (Intel vs Non-Intel) and the desired RAID level.

Numer części / PN Opis / Description Poziom RAID / RAID Support
Wspierany system operacyjny / Supported OS
AOC-VROCINTMOD Intel SSD Only Upgrade module (tylko SSD firmy Intel) Hybrid RAID 0/1/10/5

Windows, Linux, VMware ESXi

AOC-VROCSTNMOD Standard Upgrade module (SSD firmy Intel + inni dostawcy SSD) Hybrid RAID 0/1/10
AOC-VROCPREMOD Premium Upgrade module (SSD firmy Intel + inni dostawcy SSD) Hybrid RAID 0/1/10/5

Important:

  • Intel Xeon Scalable Gen1 and Gen2 do not support Intel RAID via PCH.
  • 4Kn drives are not supported by the Intel RAID controller in RAID mode.
