Supermicro chassis, backplanes, and controllers with support for the latest SAS4 and NVMe 6 technologies. Now available! 

Supermicro has introduced a new range of server enclosures and backplanes featuring SAS4 support. The latest additions include solutions for servers and storage systems supporting SAS4, SATA3, and NVMe, with selected models also offering PCIe Gen6 support.

Chassis:

  • CSE-836BAF6-R1K23B – a 3U server enclosure with 16 hot-swap 3.5" drive bays. It supports SAS4/SATA3 drives, while the included backplane provides connectivity for all 16 3.5" drives. The enclosure is also equipped with a redundant 1200/1000 W Titanium power supply.
  • CSE-825B2TQC-R920W – a 2U server enclosure with 8 hot-swap 3.5" drive bays and two additional fixed 3.5" bays. The current configuration uses the BPN-SAS4-825A-N4, a hybrid backplane supporting SAS4, SATA3, and NVMe5. The enclosure features a redundant 920 W power supply.

Mobile Rack:

  • CSE-M28UN8-OEM – a black mobile rack supporting NVMe5, SAS4, and SATA3 for up to 8 × 2.5" drives.

Backplanes:

  • BPN-NVME4-827BHQ-S3 – a 2U, 12-port, 4-node all-hybrid backplane supporting NVMe4, SAS4, and SATA3.
  • BPN-NVME5-733N-S4 – a 4-port backplane supporting up to 4 × 3.5" drives, with support for SATA3, SAS4, and NVMe5.
  • BPN-NVME5-745N-S8 – an 8-port LFF backplane supporting SAS4/SAS3/SATA3 drives and U.2 Gen5 NVMe drives.
  • BPN-NVME5-749N-S8 – an 8-port backplane for 3.5" LFF drives, designed for direct connection of SAS4 HDDs and Gen5 NVMe drives.
  • BPN-SAS4-213A-N8 – a 2U, 16-slot backplane for 2.5" SFF drives, featuring direct SAS4 connectivity.
  • BPN-SAS4-825A-N4 – an 8-port hybrid backplane for 3.5" drive bays, supporting SAS4, SATA3, and NVMe5. It is used, among others, in the CSE-825B2TQC-R920W enclosure.
  • BPN-SAS4-LB13A-N2 – a 1U, 8-slot backplane for 2.5" drives, supporting up to 6 SAS4/SATA3 devices plus additional NVMe devices.
  • BPN-SAS4-836BA-N6 – a 3U, 16-slot backplane for 3.5" drives, supporting SAS4/SATA3 and additional PCIe Gen5 connectivity.
  • BPN-SAS4-836EB-J – a SAS4 I/O board designed for the new generation of SAS/SATA JBOD products.
  • BPN-SAS4-836EL-J – a hot-swap SAS4 expander module designed for the new generation of SAS/SATA JBOD systems.
  • BPN-NVME6-116N-S10 – a 1U, 10-port PCIe Gen6 hybrid backplane supporting SATA3, SAS4, and U.2 drives.
  • BPN-NVME6-LA26A-S12 – a 2U, 12-port PCIe Gen6 hybrid backplane designed to support SATA3, SAS4, and U.2 drives.
